Vaasa Port is a few kilometers from the city center by walking, although taxi may be the most comfortable option. There is also a bus synced to the arrival and departure times of the ferry to/from Umeå. For passengers, the only regular ferry here goes between Vaasa and Umeå in Sweden, operated by Stena Line since it took over the route from Wasaline in 2025.
